Rick Jory, Board Chair Rick Jory is President & CEO of Sandhill Scientific, Inc., a medical device manufacturer that specializes in diagnostic devices mainly used by gastroenterologists and endoscopic surgeons. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Finance. Past experience includes work with both Cobe Laboratories and Valleylab. He is past Board Chair of the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce and former President of the CMDA.
Dr. David Allen, Associate Vice President for Technology Transfer
David N. Allen became the University of Colorado’s assistant vice president for technology transfer in February 2002. In June 2003 he was promoted to associate vice president. As AVP he has responsibility for intellectual property and technology licensing matters across the three CU campuses. Dr. Allen’s primary objective is to continue the momentum that has led to a turn around of the CU technology transfer operation so it becomes one of the top technology transfer operations in the U.S. Previously, Dr. Allen was the assistant vice president for technology partnerships at Ohio State University. In this role, he had responsibility for the Offices for Technology Licensing, Technology Partnerships and Business and Industry Contracts. Before coming to Ohio State in 1997, Dr. Allen was assistant vice president for technology and economic development at Ohio University, Athens. From 1991 to 1997, he managed two OU technology development programs: the Innovation Center Program and the Technology Transfer Office. Prior to working at Ohio University, he was a public policy and business administration professor at Pennsylvania State University, University Park. While at Penn State he was a consultant to a seed venture capital firm. He earned a PhD from Indiana University, Bloomington, in political economy in 1980.
Joe Bagan, CEO/President
Joe Bagan brings more than 20 years of strategic leadership, executive management and a proven track record in senior-level positions to Sharklet Technologies. As CEO, Mr. Bagan leads Sharklet Technologies' business development activities and the commercialization strategy that will deliver Sharklet, the company's core surface technology, to market. Prior to joining Sharklet Technologies, Mr. Bagan served in a variety of executive roles where the hallmark of his success has been his keen ability to organize, drive and implement complex projects with great success. Mr. Bagan most recently served as senior vice president of Adelphia Communications' southeast region where he led all business functions and held full P&L responsibility for a seven-state territory. In this leadership position, he launched multiple advanced services and guided the company's regional network upgrade efforts. Prior to joining Adelphia in 2003, he served as chief financial officer for Ricochet Wireless Networks, a Denver-based technology start-up company. During his tenure at the company, he led the effort to finance the business plan and successfully completed a B round of financing. Mr. Bagan also has expertise in leading multi-billion dollar initiatives as he served in various executive capacities at AT&T Broadband from 2000 to 2002 which included roles such as merger leader, chief information officer and senior vice president of billing operations. Mr. Bagan was recruited to AT&T from Arthur Andersen where he as the partner in charge of the Southwestern United States' consulting practice in several key industries.
Larry O. Blankenship
Larry Blankenship is CEO and Chairman of ValveXchange, Inc., an Aurora, Colorado based company developing an innovative new heart valve technology. Larry is a serial entrepreneur, engineer and inventor with more than 30 years experience encompassing business development, strategic planning, start-ups, turnarounds, product development, project management, and regulatory affairs. His product-specific experience encompasses heart valves, cardiac catheters, electrophysiology, surgical instruments, patient monitoring, drug delivery, urology products, angioscopy, ureteroscopy, laparoscopy, and arthroscopy. He has been involved in the Colorado medical device scene since 1985, with numerous business development and product introduction activities including successful start-ups and acquisitions. Mr. Blankenship previously held executive positions at the IVAC division of Eli Lilly, Vitalmetrics, Inc. (acquired by Tyco), the Valleylab division of Pfizer (now part of Covidien) and CardioOptics. Larry was also CEO and co-founder of The Larren Corporation, a Colorado medical device development company later acquired by the Battelle Memorial Institute, where Larry served as Vice President of Medical Programs. Over the course of his career, Larry has been responsible for overseeing the definition, design, development, manufacturing, regulatory approval and market introduction of dozens of medical devices. He holds 10 US patents and serves on several boards of directors and advisory boards.
Ms. Brown’s career spans over 30 years working in both the public and private sectors in Colorado. She recently formed DM Brown, LLC to provide consulting services to research institutions, the bioscience industry, and business associations. Ms. Brown served as the first Executive Director of the Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA). CBSA initiatives resulted in over $30 million of new state-supported programs for early stage bioscience technologies and companies. She served in senior administrative positions for 17 years at the University of Colorado including, including Chief Planning Officer for the CU Health Sciences Center . Early in her career, Ms. Brown worked for the House Majority Office at the Colorado General Assembly for two years (1975-1977). From 1977 through 1984, she worked for the Governor of Colorado in three senior staff positions.
Chris Clement, Dr. Chris Clement is a dynamic internal process and business operation executive with more than 20 years of experience with the business and scientific community. Dr. Clement received is Maitrise from Rennes (France) and his PhD from Exeter University (UK). He went on to Harvard for a Post Doctorate in cardiovascular diseases. Since, Dr. Clement has gradually moved into Strategy and Operations using his scientific background for its inquisitive, logical and multi-tasking values. While in Boston, Dr. Clement served at several Harvard affiliated institutions (Center for Blood Research, the Dana Farber Cancer Center) and then moved to Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where he implemented company-wide projects and refocused the outsourcing strategy. Since moving to Boulder, Colorado Dr. Clement has been consulting and working with several companies providing focused organizational leadership, contract management and support to identify next sets of deliverables.
Derek Cole, Vice President, Investor Relations
Derek Cole is vice president, investor relations and corporate communications for ARCA biopharma Inc., Bloomfield, CO. Cole has been involved in the capital markets and strategic planning for over 17 years with 12 years of dedicated investor relations experience focused on supporting the development of small- and mid-cap companies. He has managed or contributed to a broad spectrum of financing transactions, raising approximately $800 million, as well as supporting four M&A transactions. Cole was recently with Allos Therapeutics, Inc. as their vice president, investor Relations. Prior to Allos, Cole headed the investor relations and corporate communications function at Myogen, Inc., from its days as a private company, through its Initial Public Offering and continuing until its recent $2.5 billion acquisition. Lisa Drake, Director, Government Affairs
Lisa Drake is the Director of Government Affairs for Monsanto, responsible for management of the state and local government affairs team, ensuring freedom to operate in state legislatures and at the local level in the 50 United States and Puerto Rico. Prior to work in Government Affairs, Lisa was Director of Public Affairs for Monsanto's Agricultural Sector, managing global media relations and issues management for the company's leading herbicide, Roundup herbicide and several of its biotechnology seeds businesses. Lisa works in Englewood and was born in Boulder. She earned her BA degree in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University. She has worked for Monsanto for 20 years. Dr. Richard Duke, President
Dr. Duke is a biotechnology executive, inventor, biomedical researcher and serial entrepreneur with fifteen years of experience in building, financing, and managing start-up biotechnology companies based on inventions made in Colorado’s non-profit research institutions. He is currently Co-scientific Founder, President and CEO of ApopLogic Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Duke is a Co-scientific Founder and former CEO, President and Director of GlobeImmune, Inc. and was involved in the formation of Sierra Neuropharmaceuticals where he was an initial Director. John Dunning, President and CEO
John Dunning, is President and CEO of Clarimedix Inc., a therapeutic medical device company based in Boulder, CO. John Eckstein, Director and Attorney

Jill Sikora Farnham, Executive Director
Ms. Farnham is currently the Executive Director for the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority, after serving for six years as the Authority’s Director of Finance and Business Operations. The FRA is a partnership of the City of Aurora and the University of Colorado and is responsible for overseeing the creation of the Fitzsimons Life Science District as a world class environment for life science companies. The FRA directs the commercial developments in the District, including the Colorado Science +Technology Park at Fitzsimons, along with its partner, Forest City Enterprises. Ms. Farnham oversees a variety of development issues for the Authority, including land acquisition, land sales, lease negotiations and management of developer contracts. She also oversees the Authority’s business incubation programs as well as its financial and administrative operations. Prior to joining the FRA, Ms. Farnham was involved in private commercial real estate management and development in Colorado, working with various retail and commercial projects including the Inverness Business Park and the Denver Design Center. Dick Hinson, Senior Vice President
Dick Hinson is Senior Vice President of the Aurora Economic Development Council (EDC), Inc. Aurora EDC is a public/private partnership dedicated to enhancing the economic strength of the city of Aurora by recruiting new primary employers, retaining existing primary employers and assisting current primary employers to expand in the city. The public sector partners are the city of Aurora, Arapahoe County and Adams County. The private sector partners are the top one hundred companies doing business in Aurora. As Senior Vice President, Hinson is responsible for Aurora EDC’s financial operations. He has served as founding member of the Board of Directors for Taligen Therapeutics, Sierra Neuropharma, Oberon, and Theratogs, and was CFO of Taligen from inception of the company in 2004 until early 2008. Dr. Lupa holds a BSc from Northwestern University, an M Phil from the University of Sussex (England) in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Lund, Sweden. He conducted neuroscience research for fifteen years at institutions worldwide, including the University of Colorado and UCSF. Sean Moriarty, VP and General Council Sean Moriarty is the President of QLT USA, Inc., the Fort Collins based subsidiary of QLT Inc. QLT is a global biopharmaceutical company specializing in developing treatments for cancer, eye diseases and dermatological and urological conditions. QLT USA was created when QLT acquired Atrix Laboratories, Inc. in late 2004. Prior to joining QLT, Sean was the Director of Business Development at Geneva Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Broomfield, Colorado and an attorney at Isaacson, Rosenbaum, Woods & Levy in Denver. Ruth Lytle-Barnaby, Executive Director
Ruth has been with PVHS in various positions for 18 years. She has served on the HCC Council since 1996, as well as a variety of HCC’s committees, including the Executive and Communications Committees. Ruth also participates in the PVHS Obesity Prevention Task Force, PVHS Cancer Center Board, Poudre School District Health Advisory Board and the National Charity League. Ruth is married with two children.
Terry Opgenorth, Chief Operating Officer
Terry Opgenorth serves as COO for NeoTREX(r), the enterprise arm of Colorado State University's Cancer Supercluster. He joined CSU Ventures, Inc. in 2007 after 20 years with Abbott Laboratories, North Chicago, IL. His last position at Abbott was as Divisional Vice President of Metabolic Disease Research, Antiviral Research and Target-Lead Discovery Research for Abbott's Global Pharmaceutical Research and Development division. He championed a number of biotech collaborations, and led teams that advanced a number of drug candidates to clinical development status with atrasentan reaching NDA filing; atrasentan, and others are in various stages of ongoing development at Abbott or other biopharma companies. He was also a Research Fellow in Abbott's Volwiler Society. He serves on Scientific Advisory Boards for Keystone Symposia and Euroscreen, SA, and is a Section Editor for Current Opinions in Investigational Drugs. He is an author on 130 peer-reviewed publications, 9 book chapters or reviews, and an inventor on 3 patent applications. Dr. Opgenorth holds a BA in Biology from Calvin College, and MS and PhD degrees in Physiology from University of Illinois-Urbana.
Steve Orndorff, Ph.D., President/CEO
Steve Orndorff is a serial entrepreneur with more than 25 years experience in the biotechnology industry. Mr. Orndorff is the current President and CEO of Accera. He is also the former President and CEO of Univera Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a drug discovery company focused on diseases of inflammation and the immune response. During his career he has had responsibility in a broad array of disciplines such as basic research, manufacturing, product development and business development at various biotechnology companies including Genex Corporation, NutraSweet, Inc. and ZeaGen, Inc. Dr. Orndorff is a past President of the Society for Industrial Microbiology and a founding board member of the Colorado BioScience Association. David Perez, President and CEO
David Perez is president and chief executive officer of CaridianBCT, with more than two decades of leadership, management, commercial development, finance and operations experience in complex medical device and health care service businesses. In this role, he guides the strategic direction, growth and execution of the global company and its mission to improve lives through innovation, quality and services delivered by the company's people, products and processes. Currently, Perez is vice chair of the board of trustees for the National Blood Foundation (NBF), also serving on the NBF Council on Research and Development; a board member of the Foundation for America's Blood Centers®, and the Colorado BioScience Association; and on the board of directors at the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), as well as the chair of the Blood Products and Technology Sector for AdvaMed. Prior to joining CaridianBCT in 1999, Perez held leadership positions at UroTherapies Inc., Haemonetics® Corp., Caremark LLC, Coram Healthcare Corp. and Kendall. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Texas Tech University.
Linda Pryor, Director of Government Relations
Linda Pryor is Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs for Pfizer. In addition to serving on the Board of the Colorado Biosciences Association, Linda serves on the Colorado Civil Justice League Board, the University of Colorado School of Medicine Dean’s Advisory Council, the University of Colorado School of Nursing Board and is a member of numerous other civic and agricultural organizations. Prior to joining Pfizer, she served as Director of Public Affairs and chief lobbyist for the University of Colorado system. Linda Pryor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
Rae Reynolds, President
Rae Reynolds has 30 years of experience in marketing and business development in the biotech industry. Ms. Reynolds served as the Vice President of Marketing for Cochlear Corporation to launch, and promote a market leading product line, build the market, and complete a successful IPO. She has helped commercialize and promote a range of additional biotech products and services through skills in competitive analysis and positioning, product launch, and corporate partnering and acquisition. Her experience includes assisting entrepreneurial companies secure early-stage capital through the NIH’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant process. Ms. Reynolds earned a BA in Economics from the University of Denver. She attended Johns Hopkns School of Advanced International Studies, and received a Masters in Planning from University of Colorado. Personal interests include skiing, hiking, tennis, and bicycling. She volunteers with a microcredit program to promote economic development in Guatemala.
Norwood Robb, Board President
Norwood Robb is the Board President of the Denver School of Science and Technology. Mr. Robb also served on the University of Colorado Board of Regents representing the 6th Congressional District for 18 years and is now Regent Emeritus. He has had two different business careers, first working for large corporations and then as the owner of his own companies. His education includes a Master of Business Administration in Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Denver. He also completed course work for a Master of Science in Operations Research and Graduate Certificate Program in Alternate Dispute Resolution.
Frank Ronchetti, Chief Financial Officer
Frank Ronchetti is the Chief Financial Officer of Biodesix, a molecular diagnostics company developing tests for early detection, diagnosis, therapeutic guidance, and monitoring in cancer and degenerative diseases. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer of NetRegulus, a regulatory compliance software company that was sold to Parametric Technology Corporation (Nasdaq: PMTC). Prior to that, he was a Director in the London office of General Electric's venture capital arm, GE Equity. He also founded a corporate finance boutique in the Czech Republic, ran Central European acquisition finance for Erste Bank, the region's leading financial institution, and negotiated corporate sponsorship agreements on behalf of the International Olympic Committee. Frank has a BA in Economics from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
Harry Ross, Managing Partner
Harry Ross received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Oregon Health Science University in 1991. He then went on to receive post graduate training in Surgery and Emergency Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center with subsequent National Board Certification in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Ross retired from clinical practice in 1998 to join Aweida Capital where he is a Managing Partner specializing in the Life Sciences. Aweida Capital Management is a 15 year old Evergreen Fund responsible for the management of its own private assets. The fund participates from early seed to late mezzanine rounds with preferred lifetime investments within a company of $5-10 million. Areas of interest are Life Sciences, Software, Data Storage, and Alternative Energy. The fund currently has $100 million under management.
Nick Saccomano, Chief Technology Officer Dr. Saccomano joined SomaLogic in 2009. Nick obtained his degree Ph.D. in chemistry from Columbia University in 1984 under the direction of Professor Gilbert Stork. In 1984, he joined Pfizer Inc. as a research scientist in the CNS discovery group. Between 1985 and 1998 held several positions in this group including head of medicinal chemistry. During this time, Nick worked on or led many programs targeting psychiatric and neurological indications including depression, anxiety, psychosis, sleep, stroke, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. In 1998, he was appointed Vice President of discovery technology. In this role, Nick managed and developed a diverse set of enabling technologies used broadly across the drug discovery process within Pfizer. In 2004, Nick became Senior Vice President of Global Research Technology and Strategic Alliances. In 2008, he moved to Bend Research Inc as Chief Scientific Officer and is currently member of the Board of Directors of this organization.
Michael Salem, M.D., FACS, CEO/President
Michael Salem, M.D., FACS, began his tenure as President and CEO of National Jewish Medical and Research Center in January 2006, bringing to the position a combination of academic and business experience in the healthcare field. A native of Washington, D.C., Dr. Salem received his undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis, and then returned to his hometown for his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed his surgical residency training at Boston University Hospital and George Washington University Hospital. He also completed research and clinical fellowships in Critical Care Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. After the completion of his medical training, Dr. Salem practiced and taught general surgery and critical care at George Washington University Hospital, where he later served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Later in his career, Dr. Salem served as the Executive Vice President of a healthcare company that develops and commercializes biotechnology and medical technology products from academic medical centers. He led the research and development operations of that company, building research facilities and programs and navigating the regulatory process to bring discoveries to the marketplace. In his first year at National Jewish, Dr. Salem led a comprehensive, broad-based strategic planning process that included faculty, staff, Board members, the Council of National Trustees and healthcare leaders from around the world. The ten year vision and plan, approved by the Board of Directors in January 2007, is a compelling set of ideas and solutions that will result in the integration of research and clinical efforts at the point of the patient. The plan will allow National Jewish to continue to innovate and lead as a medical center, remain preeminent in its areas of focus, maintain its collegial culture and grow substantially over time.
Rahmat Shoureshi, Dean and Professor
Dr. Rahmat Shoureshi's areas of research include Bioengineering, Biomimetics, Autonomic Structures, Smart Buildings, Bio-mechatronics, Automation and Robotics, Intelligent Electric Power System, Advanced Sensor and Actuator Systems and Intelligent Monitoring and Diagnostics. He is the former President of the Colorado Alliance for Bioengineering and is Chairman of the Board for Colorado Nanotechnology Alliance and serves on several other boards.
Jim Skrine, Executive Director, Quality Executive Director of Quality, Jim Skrine, oversees the Quality Assurance, Product Quality, Quality Control, Validation and Compliance Groups for Amgen Colorado. Immediately prior to his current post, Skrine served as Director of Manufacturing and Plant Manager for Amgen Commercial Bulk Manufacturing in Thousand Oaks, California. There he had oversight for the manufacturing of the drug substance for six commercially marketed products; Epogen®, Aranesp®, Neupogen®, Neulasta®, Infergen®, and Stemgen®. Mr. Skrine has been at Amgen for nearly seventeen years and began his career as a Protein Chemist in the Research and Development organization. Mr. Skrine earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is currently a member of the Parental Drug Association (PDA) and serves on the Board of Directors for HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties.
Kevin Smith, Chief Operating Officer Kevin was a member of the group that developed the business plan and State Grant proposal which resulted in the creation of CID4. Prior to joining CID4, Kevin was Managing Director of Act Three Consulting, LLC. Act Three was formed in July 2007 to provide consulting services to management teams and their advisors during times of dramatic change. Prior to founding Act Three, Kevin spent nine years as President of Gambro, Inc., the US holding company for the publicly-traded, Swedish-based Gambro Group, until its acquisition by private equity investors in 2006. The US operations of Gambro included the manufacture and distribution of cardiovascular (CV), blood separation and renal dialysis products and the operation of US and international kidney dialysis centers. Before joining Gambro, Kevin was an audit partner in the Denver and New York offices of Ernst & Young, specializing in entrepreneurial services and led the formation of E&Y’s Denver Life Sciences Practice. Kevin graduated from Kansas State University in 1970 and worked in New York until his relocation to Colorado in 1988
Dr. Dan Stinchcomb, Chief Executive Officer
Dan Stinchcomb is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Inviragen, a biotechnology company focused on developing life-saving vaccines for emerging infectious diseases worldwide. Since initiating operations for Inviragen in January, 2005, Dan successfully raised over $5.2 million in grant and seed investor funding, established Inviragen’s product and business strategies, opened its office and laboratory facilities in Fort Collins and established key collaborations with international vaccine manufacturers, non-profit vaccine initiatives, government research organizations and university researchers. Inviragen won the CBSA Venture Showcase competition in 2005 and the Rising Star Award in 2007. Dr. Stinchcomb brings over twenty years of biotechnology management and scientific experience to Inviragen. Formerly, Dan was Executive Vice President of Research and Development at Heska Corporation and held scientific management positions at Ribozyme Pharmaceuticals (now Sirna, acquired by Merck) and Synergen (acquired by Amgen). Prior to joining Synergen, Dan was an Associate Professor in Cellular and Developmental Biology at Harvard University. Dan is an inventor on over 20 issued US patents and has authored more than 30 scientific articles. He received his PhD degree in Biochemistry from Stanford University and a BA degree from Harvard. Dr. Stinchcomb is also an Adjunct Professor of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Colorado State University.
Dr. Will Vaughan, Director of Technology Transfer Dr. Vaughan is the Director of Technology Transfer at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM). In this role he helps to coordinate partnerships between CSM and the business, venture capital and governmental communities to transfer and commercialize Mines technology. Previously, Will was the Business Development Manager for Technology Licensing & Commercialization at the Ohio State University and served as the Executive Assistant for the Governors Office of Science and Technology in the State of Ohio. Additionally, Dr. Vaughan worked at Franklin International as a polymer chemist with responsibilities in experimental design and commercial applications and taught Chemistry at Ohio State and Ohio University. While at Ohio University, he conducted research on the properties of organometallic complexes. Will received a BS in Chemistry from Marietta College, a MS in Organic Chemistry from Ohio University, and a Ph.D. in Science Education at The Ohio State University.
Michael Weiner Mr. Weiner is a partner in Dorsey's Corporate Group focusing on the representation of emerging growth companies. His practice focuses in the areas of corporate formation, mergers and acquisition, venture capital finance, corporate finance and securities regulation. Mr. Weiner represents public and private companies in a variety of industries, including biotech/life sciences, renewable energy, Internet, software and mining. In addition, he counsels Boards of Directors and management teams in the areas of equity compensation, corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory and disclosure matters. Mr. Weiner has successfully completed numerous venture capital and other private placements for both private and public companies, as well as several public offerings. He has also consummated multiple mergers and acquisitions, including asset purchase transactions. Mr. Weiner also advises clients on intellectual property licensing and commercial contract matters. Mr. Weiner serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado BioScience Association. He is also Corporate Secretary of Envirofit International Ltd.
Jim Wilson Jim has 14 years of experience serving clients in life science and technology-related industries. Jim is the director of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program for the Rocky Mountain region and has a history of working with emerging and growth companies. He has significant experience with public offerings and acquisition transactions as well as accounting and financial reporting topics relevant to life science companies, including research and development arrangements and equity transactions. Jim is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Colorado and Texas and has a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelors of Business Administration from Baylor University.
Dan Wittenberg As a partner of Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., attorney Dan Wittenberg concentrates his practice in representing medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, consumer product and heavy equipment manufacturers in product liability litigation as well as counseling these companies in risk management strategies, recalls and in responding to regulatory agency inquiries. Dan has also served as national counsel for major medical device manufacturing concerns and regional counsel in mass tort cases. He also represents companies in commercial litigation and works with entities in technology transfer and intellectual property matters.
Jack Wheeler, Founder Jack Wheeler is the founder of MicroPhage Inc., an early stage clinical diagnostic company located in Longmont, Colorado. MicroPhage specializes in the rapid detection of pathogenic bacteria and identifying their resistance to specific antibiotics. Jack is a serial entrepreneur in the field of clinical diagnostics and has been responsible for the founding of both MicroPhage and Xtrana Inc., each successful Colorado companies specializing in human clinical diagnostics. Mr. Wheeler has over 30 years experience in the clinical diagnostics field, with extensive experience in both international and domestic sales, marketing, business development and strategic planning. In addition to MicroPhage and Xtrana, Jack has held executive positions with Xenometrix Inc., Charles River Laboratories and Becton Dickinson and Company in both the United States and Europe. Mr. Wheeler is a founding member and has served as both the Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Colorado BioScience Association from 2006-2009.
Ed Wood, CEO Ed Wood was the founding CEO of COBE BCT, Inc, now Gambro BCT, Inc. Ed is now the CEO of ArcScan, an emerging device company and is serving on the Board of Directors of four medical device and biotech companies, both public and private. He volunteers for CBSA as well as homeowner associations in Morrison and in Keystone. He and his wife Janice are proud of the two sons they have raised in Colorado. |
