The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) welcomes your participation during the Patient Engagement Advisory Committee (PEAC)

During this virtual meeting, the committee will discuss and make recommendations on patient-centered informed consent in clinical study of FDA-regulated medical products. The topics for discussion include:

• The informed consent process, and
• Factors to consider when communicating informed consent to clinical study participants to increase the likelihood of participants understanding the key elements of research.

In addition to attending the meeting, we encourage you to consider making an oral presentation, submit written comments for the open public hearing, and register to participate in the virtual breakout scenario discussion. See important deadlines below for additional information.

• PEAC Meeting: Registration is not required. The meeting is open to the public.
• Virtual breakout sessions: Register by October 16, 2024, to participate in the breakout sessions, as these sessions will be limited to 150 participants.
