The global health pandemic of COVID-19 has upended seemingly everything, from the way commerce is conducted to the ways we interact with one another (or don’t interact with one another). But enforcement involving pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers has remained relatively steady. As we move out of the initial phase of the pandemic and as healthcare becomes an even more critical part of the national and international infrastructure, concerns about fraud and abuse mount with the added pressure to develop treatments, equipment, and a vaccine. This presentation will dig into recent DOJ statements, settlement announcements, and pending enforcement activity to update attendees on what we’re seeing in this new abnormal world.
