Discuss Direction of IP Regulation with USPTO & Congressman Neguse’s Staff
Join United States Patent and Trademark Office staff, Congressman Joe Neguse staff, and members of the Colorado BioScience Association for presentations and a discussion on recent patent developments. This event will address what stakeholders want to know about recent USPTO statistics and updates, the Patent Public Search application available from the USPTO, information disclosure statements required in patent applications, and efforts of the bipartisan Congressional Intellectual Property Promotion and Piracy Prevention Caucus to promote legislation combatting domestic and international piracy and also to work with consumer groups and intellectual property owners.
Congressman Neguse is a member of the Subcommittee on IP and Courts. Our staff hopes to learn more about IP issues facing Colorado businesses and what reforms would be best for the companies in our district.
Speakers will include:
- Molly Kocialski, Regional Director of the Rocky Mountain USPTO
- Jamie Holcombe, Chief Information Officer of the USPTO
- Robert Bahr, Deputy Commissioner for Patents
