A Message from President & CEO Jennifer Jones Paton on her Transition from CBSA

Dear Colorado Life Sciences Community,

After almost five years at Colorado BioScience Association and more than two years as President & CEO, I have decided to transition from my role at CBSA to focus on my baby daughter. I will stay on to provide continuity during this time. The CBSA Board of Directors plans to launch an immediate search for my replacement.

It’s been an exciting time to work with our board, team, members, sponsors, and partners to champion the success of our ecosystem during this incredible period of growth and momentum. I’m proud of the collaboration to build a pro-innovation environment for life sciences in Colorado. We continue to see record fundraising in Colorado’s life sciences community. And next month, we return to in-person events after our pivot to virtual Education + Networking.

I’m proud of our partnership with the team at the state Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) to preserve and ultimately restore funding for the Advanced Industries Accelerator Grant Program. Additionally, we have increased our engagement with state and federal policymakers. Our efforts to rebrand CBSA and champion our community’s work to save and change lives around the world continue to generate investment and interest in Colorado. Also, the Institute’s leadership to cultivate our life sciences workforce will support sustained growth in the months and years to come.

I’m confident that CBSA and our life sciences community are in a strong position for a new leader to build on what we have accomplished together. I look forward to staying closely connected with you.

It’s been a true honor to lead Colorado BioScience Association and serve our members. I’m grateful to the CBSA Board of Directors for their support and to the CBSA team for their hard work and commitment to CBSA members and our life sciences ecosystem. They will work together closely in the coming months to ensure a seamless transition.

Stronger Together,

Jennifer Jones Paton
President and CEO
Colorado BioScience Association
