CBSA Forum Highlights Global Impact of Colorado’s Life Science Innovators

Colorado Life Science Innovation Forum brings national thought leaders and Colorado executives together

DENVER – Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) hosts the state’s largest gathering of bioscience decision-makers and national thought leaders during the Colorado Life Science Innovation Forum, scheduled for Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Westin Westminster.

The conference highlights Colorado’s leadership in solving some of healthcare’s most significant problems, including:

  • Developing value-based partnerships and pricing innovation

  • Advancing healthcare with the emergence of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning

  • Changing community behaviors to improve healthcare outcomes

  • Expert guidance from leading business development and innovation groups on positioning companies for partnership, financing or acquisition

  • Interviews with Colorado life science leaders during the coffee break sessions

Calaneet Balas, the President & CEO of the ALS Association, will begin the day with a breakfast keynote at 8 a.m. She will share how the association launched the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and funding for research. The FDA approved the first new ALS drug in 22 years in 2017. Terry Fry, M.D., Director of Cancer Immunotherapy, University of Colorado School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital Colorado, will deliver the closing keynote on the future of immunotherapy.

Venture Capital Showcase

The forum also promotes early-stage innovators with a venture showcase, allowing emerging companies to gain exposure within the sector and access critical funding. Three emerging companies will present to a panel of judges for the opportunity to win a $7,500 cash prize:

The forum will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Westin Westminster, 10600 Westminster Blvd. in Westminster. Colorado. A cocktail networking reception will conclude the event. Registration is $325 for CBSA members and $375 for non-members, with an early bird discount for registering before August 31.
