Mike Huckman is a seasoned strategic communications consultant, presentation and media coach, speaker, host and moderator in the life sciences sector.
Drawing on decades of experience translating complex science and technology into compelling stories, Mike empowers biotech, medtech, pharmaceutical and healthcare leaders to elevate their messages, connect with global audiences, boosting comprehension and amplifying resonance.
Known for his personal sartorial style and his attention to detail as much as his skill set, Mike’s thoughtfully tailored approach is rooted in a deep understanding of life sciences ingenuity, leadership communications, and, most importantly, the vital human element at the heart of breakthrough science and technology.
Keynote Speaker

We’re thrilled to welcome Aron Ralston as keynote speaker for CBSA’s 22nd Annual Awards Celebration Presented by AGC Biologics on November 13.
Aron, a legendary Boulder-based climber, survivor, and medical innovator, made headlines after amputating his own arm to survive a canyoneering accident, then helped design his own prosthetics. His story, featured in 127 Hours and Between a Rock and a Hard Place, continues to inspire audiences around the world.
He brings a powerful message of the resilience mindset, innovation, and human potential that resonates deeply with Colorado’s life sciences ecosystem as we drive bold advances in patient-centered care, medtech, and biotech innovation.
Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the impact we create together.

The Colorado BioScience Political Committee provides opportunities to meet and educate state candidates about the issues critical to our life sciences community and supports those candidates who will help our industry thrive. By donating to the Political Committee, you can help ensure that state policymakers understand the unique challenges facing Colorado’s bioscience innovators.
Colorado campaign finance laws permit contributions to the Colorado BioScience Political Committee of up to $725 per two-year election cycle from both corporations and individuals. This contribution is non-deductible.
Our state advocacy efforts have helped secure more than $45 million to promote technology transfer, encourage the growth of early-stage companies, and develop infrastructure that benefits life sciences in Colorado.
