Weekly Policy Update: Take Action! Join a New Letter Urging Congress to Prioritize Repeal of the Medical Device Tax

Last week we asked the Colorado bioscience community to take action and urge our Members of Congress to support permanent repeal of the medical device excise tax. The tax is a threat to medical innovation, and if Congress does not act by the end of the year Colorado companies will be forced to make difficult financial decisions, including reductions in hiring and decreased investment in R&D.

We also encourage you to sign-on to a new coalition letter spearheaded by our partners at AdvaMed, the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA), and the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) requesting that Congress prioritize repeal of the device tax.

Repeal is critical to ensuring that Colorado innovators have the resources and certainty they need to continue investing in sustainable, cutting-edge R&D.

We need Congress to act now.
