    Ed Chuong, Ph.D., assistant professor of molecular, cellular, and developmental biology at CU Boulder, proposes that exposure to ancient parasites by our ancestors permanently altered our genome and can help us fight modern viruses. Chuong was awarded a $875,000 Packard Fellowship to explore the idea.
