Weekly Policy Update: AdvaMed Fly-In and the Monthly Report

This month CBSA Vice President Emily Roberts met with Members of the Colorado Congressional delegation as part of the AdvaMed State Medical Technology Alliance (SMTA) Fly-In. This event brings together medical technology representatives from across the country for legislative briefings and Member meetings on critical issues impacting the device industry. There is so much happening in the MedTech industry in Colorado, and we want to make sure our elected officials continue to promote policies that will help the industry thrive. In addition to thanking Members for their leadership and support, CBSA also asked for their support as we work towards permanent repeal of the medical device excise tax. More information on repealing the medical device excise tax can be found here.

Other policy issues discussed at the Fly-In include ensuring coverage and payment for critical breakthrough devices and policy proposals to advance value-based arrangements.

If you have any questions about the Congressional meetings that took place this week in Washington, D.C., please reach out to Emily Roberts.

For a full review of the month in policy, please see Emily’s report in our February Focus newsletter.
