THEN & [NOW] ____ Celebrating 20+ Years of BioScience Colorado Magazine! Foresight Diagnostics Grows from One Employee to a $275M Acquisition T H E N : Our 2022-2023 issue featured Foresight Diagnostics after Cofounder and CEO Jake Chabon, Ph.D., moved the company from the Bay Area to Colorado. Some investors questioned the decision. Chabon saw strong scientific talent, greater capital efficiency, and a life sciences community where leaders shared ideas and helped one another. Foresight had raised $12.5 million and was building its blood-based cancer diagnostics technology at Fitzsimons Innovation Community in Aurora. N OW: Foresight grew from one employee to more than 110 and raised more than $86 million. It expanded into a 13,000-square-foot CLIA- certified lab and additional office space in Boulder. Its Foresight CLARITY™ test earned inclusion in NCCN clinical practice guidelines for B-cell lymphoma, accelerating demand. In December 2025, Natera acquired Foresight for $275 million upfront, with up to $175 million in additional milestone payments. The combination gives Foresight access to Natera’s commercial and operational scale, with the goal of bringing its technology to more patients and more cancer types. 2026-27 BIOSCIENCE COLORADO 33 Colorado’s bioscience industry is changing the world.
